Miss Jeanna Marie Dressel is a lifelong New Jersey resident. She earned a BFA in Visual Arts and Art History from Rutgers University in 2015. In 2016 Ms. Dressel attended School of Visual Arts in New York City where she received her MAT in Art Education. 

 

Ms. Dressel demonstrates mastery of interdisciplinary art media through her artistic practice. Although she is best known for her quiet observations of light and space with digital photography, her interests also include printmaking, observational drawing, and watercolor painting. Ms Dressel creates artwork that is self-explorative, features private spaces, and investigates themes of time and memory.

 

Ms. Dressel strives to create an art classroom environment where students are immersed in projects and materials that build foundations for artistic literacy, enhanced historical appreciation and understanding through making, to inspire confidences in creative abilities, while developing critical thinking skill sets for all future endeavors.

 

Ms. Dressel holds a NJ Standard Certification for K-12 Art Teacher and  CEAS for K-6 Elementary Teacher. Over the past six years, she has worked with children exploring art materials. Currently Miss Dressel is the PK-8 Visual Arts and Digital Arts teacher in Jamesburg Public Schools. Previously, Ms. Dressel worked with K-2 students in the Monroe Township School District as a Teacher Assistant and Afterschool Group Leader. She has taught several classes through the Rutgers Community Arts program, leading outreach classes with students in grades 4 and 5 in Freehold Borough, and teaches seasonally at the Kids Create! camp with upper level students.
